Description
Laktho is a very popular and traditional sweet snack of eastern U.P. & Bihar. It is made of gram flour and jaggery. It can be keep for many days.

* Gram flour(besan)—250g
* Rice flour or corn flour—1 tbs
* Jaggery(gud)—250g
* Ghee or oil—1Table Spoon
* Cooking oil for frying
Methods/steps
1. Except oil for frying,and gaggery, mix all ingredients and knead a hard dough with water.
2. Make thick sev’s with sev-making machine,
3. Fry sev’s in hot oil till brown
4. Melt jaggery in kadahi with 75ml.of water and make a thick gud –syrup(should be 4 string consistency)
5. Add fried sev’s in syrup and mix till the syrup dries up.
6. When cools down keep in air tight jar.(we can make laddu of lakthos also )


Additional Tips
Laktho can be make in sugar syrup also and for flavour you can add aniseed or cardamom powder in dough.
