Description

Nimki is a very popular & easy to make tea- time snack itemĀ  among bhojpurias. It is also made at the occasion of Holi festival.

* Refiend flour-3 cups
* Semolina(suji) 1tbs
* Deshi ghee-4tbs
* Thyme seed-1/2 tsp
* Onion seed-1/2 tsp
* Salt to taste
* Water to knead dough
* Oil to fry

Methods/steps

1. Mix deshi ghee, salt, thyme & cumin seeds with the all purpose flour. Add little by little water & knead into a medium stiff dough.
2. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
3. Make small lemon sized balls. Roll them out to the thickness of quarters. Cut into 1/2"strips lengthwise & then into 2" length across.
4. Heat oil to medium heat. Add the strips & fry on medium flame until golden in color.
5. Store in air-tight containers.
