Sattu bread roll
Description
Sattu (roasted gram flour) is very favorite ingredient of bhojpuri people .they use sattu in many dish and many ways. Sattu bread roll is one of them. It is very good for evening snacks.
Ingredients
* Bread pieces-6 pieces
* Bread crumb-2 tbs
* Oil for frying
For Filling
* Sattu - 1/2 cup ( gram flour made by fried gram )
* Garlic( chopped ) - 3 cloves
* Ginger( chopped ) - 1/2 tea spoon
* Green chilies ( chopped ) - 2
* Coriander leaves ( chopped ) - 2 tablespoon
* Onion 1/2-chopped(optional)
* Onion seeds ( Mangrella ) - pinch of
* Thyme ( Ajwain ) - pinch of
* Lemon juice - 2teaspoon
* Pickle masala (stuffed red chilli pickle) - 2 teaspoon
* Mustard oil - 1 tablespoon
* Salt to taste
Methods/steps
1. Mix all the filling ingredients with sattu. Add 1 tbs of water(60ml) to make the stuffing moist and easy to fill.
2. Take water in a deep bottomed bowl. Dip a bread slice in the water for 2-3 sec. and take out the bread slice
3. Press the bread slice with both hands and squeeze out the excess water.
4. Put 1 tbsp of stuffing on the bread slice and fold the moist bread on all sides, seal the top edge properly to form a round ball. Press slightly to form the shape of a bread roll. Repeat process with all the bread slices.
5. Put bread crumbs on a plate ,wrap nicely all the bread rolls.with bread crumbs.
6. Heat oil in kadahi and deep fry all the rolls till golden brown.
7. Serve hot with green chutney or sauce.
